How hard can it be to put together a list that determines the amount of fun you get to have? The thing is, you might never get to that list because of the numerous experiences that you probably did not think of.
New York is so big that it might be daunting to explore alone and in a short period. Among the exciting places to go and things to see, here are some experiences you should include;
Explore the Central Park and Washington Square Park
You have probably heard of Central Park and just how vast it is. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux in 1858 and is a national landmark today.
One of the experiences you should have is taking a walk in the park and taking in the gorgeous sight. If you are a fan of long walks and picnics, this is something you could enjoy thoroughly. You get to see acres and acres of gardens, a zoo, and a lot of fountains, sculptures, and bridges.
Washington Square Park is also an ideal place to watch talented people if you’re into that. It is always filled with whatever entertainment you would want, from the musicians to the chess players to performers.
Go To an NBA game
If you’re in New York just in time for an NBA game, then this is something you should try out. Of course, it may not be everyone’s niche as some people are not necessarily sporting fans or fanatics, but if you are, then it is an experience you do not want to miss.

Explore the Art
Art lovers are in for a treat in the big apple. The Whitney Museum of American Art includes a gallery of about 50,000 feet featuring several prominent artists, including Jean Michel Basquiat and the likes.
It also has an exhibition area, a restaurant, and a bar. The restaurant is known as one of the best in the city. It features exterior staircases which give you uninterrupted views of the Hudson River. In all, this will be quite the experience should you choose to follow through.
Another place to experience is the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. This museum concentrates on the twin towers, their origin and is also a memorial for all the losses experienced.
Another place worthy of a visit is the American museum of natural art which isn’t far from central park. It was founded in 1869, and currently depicts a vast collection of mammals and marine life. It also has a large tyrannosaurus rex skeleton just sitting in one of the rooms.
It is said to have on display over 32 million specimens. It also depicts the native American tribes. Anyone visiting New York city should try these places out and just marvel at history and art.

Everyone who visits New York city probably wants to see a broadway show or has it on their to-do list. It is what you would call a special experience that is limited to the city. so if you’re in the big apple, consider crossing this off your list as the set, costumes, and storyline are sure to blow you away.
Visit the New York Botanical Garden
Nature lovers are not left out as the New York botanical garden is a utopian experience. There are places inside this garden that feel surreal and you wouldn’t truly believe you were in the Bronx.
You would need to pack some lunch for a quick picnic, and you should plan to spend quite some time to take it all in and admire the carefully trimmed and attended gardens, the greenhouses, and the fields.
Visit the Grand Central Terminal
Even though you may not be commuting, the Grand Central Terminal is a place to visit. The architectural designs are quite a sight, and it gives you an insight into the New York Times. Times when train travel was a necessity or luxury. It is a soothing sight and the perfect location to wrap up a great trip to New York.
Apart from walking through parks and museums or gardens, there are fine restaurants and smooth jazz clubs for wining and dining. There are also several malls for shopping if that’s primarily on your list.
