Traveling always comes with a dose of danger (as well as staying in your own country for what I have seen!). Whether you choose the safest or the most dangerous spot in the world, you can never predict what happens.

These 10 destinations I propose are, in my opinion, so worth visiting, no matter how they’re deemed. I have chosen amongst destinations I have visited personally and others I have so many friends either visiting frequently or living in there.

Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world, with the lowest crime rate. The thriving Malaysian destination has strict laws that even tourists are expected to follow. Can you imagine paying a fine of $1000 for simply chewing a gum? Sounds crazy, right?

Don’t forget to spend some time getting familiar with their laws to avoid being fined or even arrested. Other than that you should only focus on spending the best time ever at the Marina Bay, Sentosa, The Universal Studios, Gardens by The Bay and more.

The capital of Britain is generally very safe for both living and traveling. London is even considered to be secure for solo female visitors, so there is no need for worries.

That said, and how I have anticipated at the beginning of this post… every place can be potentially dangerous or safe. Even your own home!

I lived in London for 6 years and I can attest it’s a very safe place to visit if you are careful and use common sense like in every other place. None the less I was unlucky enough to be kidnapped by a taxi driver and ended up in a sex sauna in London without knowing it (both of the stories are actually hilarious but just don0t be as naive as I was!) 🙂

There are so many reasons why you won’t regret writing this city down in your bucket list, and you could even decide to Move to the Uk permanently!  Check out my article with the detals by clicking on the link!

Start your journey with a morning cup of tea, head to the Big Ben, and don’t forget to make your way to the Buckingham Palace. This Travelodge discounts can help you save coins while enjoying one of the coolest British destinations.

Don’t panic if you find yourself in huge crowds, there are always policemen somewhere near you. Also, be very careful with the transportation that you choose. Find a cab that is licensed (and even so, be careful to choose a person that looks reliable), or simply try public transport. Always keep your valuables very close to protect yourself from thefts.

It is really hard to choose a single place in Iceland that you should visit. The whole country is so magical, it’s almost as if it was taken out of a fairytale. What’s even more important, it is one of the safest spots in Europe.

Starting with volcanos, geysers, lagoons, a black beach, to the surreal Northern lights, all of these natural wonders are there for you to explore. And don’t even worry about safety!

There are many organized tours, which will help you feel more secure if you are one of those travelers who want to be completely protected with every step they take.

There is a dose of danger and adventure is some of the popular attractions, but you can definitely skip those, or dare to organize your own independent trip to magical Iceland. The choice is yours, but always use common sense!

Tokyo is officially the safest city in the world. This Japanese gem attracts so many tourists, not only because of the unique culture, but also because people feel secure there.

The digital security there is on a whole new level. Together with the great infrastructure, zero tolerance for alcohol, great healthcare, food, fashion, culture, it makes Tokyo a bucket List-approved destination.

Tasmania is one of those destinations that you only see in movies. This part of Australia is so stunning, it will literally blow your mind.

At the same time, it is completely safe with an extremely low crime rate. All those stories that you hear about giant spiders and poisonous snakes are probably the main concern you’ll have (I’ve been to Australia recently and yes, I was concerned too but it’s really not nearly as bad as people picture or imagine it!)

Keep your eyes open for snakes and insects, but don’t be scared. Most of the species are harmless. What will really ease your mind is the information that there is no detected human death from a snake bite in Tasmania.

Cape Town is often labeled as a dangerous city (which I don’t agree with), but that doesn’t stop tourists from all over the world to book a ticket to the most beautiful spot to experience incredible South African adventures.

Some people (without a real reason), just by mentioning Africa would freak out. It is not the safest country in the world but to me they are overreacting, especially if they visit Cape Town.

Cape Town offers some of the most amazingly beautiful views you’ll ever witness. The port city and its must-visit destination will have you so in awe that you’ll forget about everything bad you’ve read so far.

Tourists attractions are mostly secure, the only thing you have to worry about are pickpocketers. Make sure that you have all your belongings neatly tucked where they’ll be out of reach for thieves. Try not to wander around secluded areas, especially at night. You should be perfectly safe by following these tips.

Mexican drug lords are the main reason why most tourists back out from visiting Acapulco. Don’t let the high crime rate change your mind from booking that plane ticket. You will have the most unforgettable stay if you follow several simple instructions.

First of all, do your research on transportation. Once you arrive in Acapulco, you will need a ride that is verified and secured. There are so many taxi drivers that can literally rip you off and even steal your luggage.

Last, but not least, be careful about scam artists and pickpocketers. It is not as bad as it sounds, believe me! You will get a completely different picture once you sip on cocktails at the most magical beaches ever.

Kenya and its capital Nairobi is without a doubt the dreamiest location on everyone’s bucket lists. There are not many places in the world where you can see zebras, lions, giraffes, elephants, and rhinos.

The number of tourists is significantly lower than it should be because of the high crime rate in Kenya. Don’t be discouraged, Nairobi will give you the experience of a lifetime, just follow these safety tips. And you can believe me… I spent quite some time in the capital in 2016. One of the best experiences of my African trip!

The best advice you’ll ever get is to always travel with someone else (even if I was by myself strolling the streets of nairobi and personally I felt safe).

While exploring, avoid going to small alleys. At the same time, keep your eyes open for scam artists and pickpocketers. Leave all your valuables in the hotel, and carry only the money that you need. The last and most important tip is not to go out after 6 pm (no mandatory but it’s not exactly recommended to walk around when it’s dark. make the most of this fascinating place during the day!).

There is a chance you didn’t even know that Rio de Janeiro is actually a dangerous city. It has the second highest crime rate in the whole country of Brazil. There is no need to be alarmed tho, you can still fulfill your dream to catch the sun at Copacabana.

While you’re there, stick to the areas popular for tourists. Leave your passport and any expensive items in the hotel. The nights are usually not as safe, so either stay at home or go out in groups. Avoid walking, getting a cab is a much smarter idea once the sun goes down.

There are good and bad things about every city in the world. The positive ones outweigh the negative when it comes to Delhi. This massive metropolitan spot in India offers the experience of a lifetime.

Mind-blowing mosques, temples, monuments, historic sites, tradition, cuisine are all the things that will take your mind off the crime. If you are careful and follow the advice, you’ll want to go back and re-live everything over again.

There are so many scam artists and tourist offices in Delhi, you’ll be surprised. Knowing this beforehand will be of huge help. Women should be extremely careful and never walk alone. Just like most other dangerous destinations, Delhi struggles with thieves and pickpocketers. Don’t bring too much money with you unless you need it.

So, there you have it! The Top Destinations worth visiting (Even if some of them are not exactly super safe). Simply remember That a good amount of common sense is all you need most of the times.
