While visiting Hogsback, you can hike the Arboretum and 39 Steps Waterfall or the Kettle Spout Hike.
You can also see the Garden of Remembrance and the Garden of Love, where you can plant a tree to commemorate your marriage.
Aside from hiking, there is a range of activities that you can engage in, such as mountain biking, horse riding, and fishing. With spectacular views, a plethora of wildlife, and an indigenous forest, Hogsback is the perfect honeymoon destination.
Eco Karoo Lodge
You can find this lodge on a farm called Knoffelfontein in the Western Cape. You will have access to the Karoo from the East and the mountains to the West from this lodge. The Karoo has two vast mountain ranges: the Outeniqua–Langeberg Mountains and the Swartberg Mountain Range.
Some key activities you can enjoy are stargazing, bird watching, and hiking. One unique feature is seeing certain species of wildlife from the lodge. This includes Kudus, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Oryx, Steenbok, and more.

Simon’s Town
Simon’s Town is a small village on the coast of the Western Cape and is home to South Africa’s largest Navy base.
The village is a gateway to the Marine Big 5 of False Bay, including the Great white shark, the Southern right whale, dolphins, the Cape fur seal, and the diminutive African penguin.
One notable feature of Simon’s Town is Boulders Penguin Colony. The area is home to 2000 of South Africa’s endangered penguins, which can be found on the shore of Simon’s Town.
The village has several modern hotels and bed and breakfasts you can stay at during your honeymoon. With the village only one hour from Cape Town, you are bound to find everything you are looking for.

Jefferys Bay
Jefferys Bay is a town located in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. The Town is considered the country’s surfing capital as it has one of the best right-hand surf breaks in the world.
Some of the popular surfing spots include Kitchen Window, Tubes, Super Tubes, Point, and Albatross, where the waves reach as high as 10-12 feet.
Aside from being a surfing hotspot, Jefferys Bay is home to three nature reserves, several hiking trails, and many types of sea life, including Cob, Leerfish (Garrick), Grunter, White Steenbras, Blackmail, and Musselcracker.
