WHY A TRIP OUTDOOR IN CONTACT WITH NATURE?
Reconnecting with nature offers a wealth of benefits, both mentally and physically. For nature lovers, being surrounded by the gorgeous beauty of nature offers sheer enjoyment that cannot compare to any other experiences. If you’re in the process of planning a vacation that gives you a chance to get back in touch with nature, these destinations are highly recommended!
1. SOUTH AFRICA (AND SOUTHER AFRICA IN GENERAL)
South Africa is every nature lover’s dream destination. Anywhere you go in the country, there’s gorgeous scenery that will be waiting to greet you. Going on a safari is one of the top things to do in South Africa.
In Kruger National Park, you’ll have an amazing opportunity to interact with wild animals in their natural habitat. For those who love hiking, Table Mountain National Park is a must-visit. The spectacular caves at the Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn are also fun to explore.

2. COSTA RICA
Costa Rica is home to beautiful volcanoes, gorgeous beaches, amazing rainforests, and awe-inspiring wildlife. It’s home to a whopping 500,000 wildlife species, which accounts for 6% of the wildlife species population of the world. Here, you can spot jaguars, scarlet macaws, giant anteaters, crocodiles, and more.
If you want, you can volunteer on an animal conservation holiday at Tortuguero National Park to help save turtles from poachers. Tucked in the northeast part of the country, this national park is accessible only by boat, which makes the experience even more amazing.
Aside from the amazing wildlife, Costa Rica is also known for its great surf. The country boasts world-class waves and beginner-friendly bumps, making it a perfect destination for all kinds of surfers.
3. ITALY (MY ITALY!)
Italy may be known for its historical sights and delicious food, but it’s also home to incredible natural wonders. The Gran Paradiso National Park is the best spot to visit for nature lovers. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the park has beautiful lakes and some incredible fauna and flora.
You can go hiking in the park all-year-round although summer is the best time to discover its gorgeous natural scenery. Other great places to visit in Italy for nature lovers are the Pragser Wildsee Lake in South Tyrol, Scala Dei Turchi in Sicily, and the Lago di Garda in Northern Italy.

4. THE UK (ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, AND WALES)
The UK has some of the best natural wonders in the world, from majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, amazing canyons, and river valleys. If you’re up for some camping adventure, head to Scotland. It has tons of good campsites that cater to all kinds of adventurers. You can stay at a luxurious glamping site on the remote Scottish Islands or take your kids to some family-friendly campsites in the Highlands.
Campervanning is a more exciting way to discover the natural landscapes of the country. You can rent a campervan or vintage motorhome and drive your way to the country’s most scenic campsites. If you prefer to take it at the seaside, check out the Ewelease Farm in Dorset and Glenbrittle in the Isle of Skye.
Iceland is filled with breathtaking natural attractions, making it one of the best destinations for nature lovers. It has countless waterfalls and amazing hot springs to soak in. Iceland is also home to hundreds of fjords, a U-shaped inlet of land that’s carved out by a glacier tongue.
The best way to explore these pristine fjords is to rent a car and go on a self-drive tour all over the island. You can also explore the spectacular volcanoes during your tour. Iceland is home to hundreds of volcanoes and most of them are truly impressive.
